Volunteer at Larson


Larson PTA provides volunteers that staff the school's copy room and library. PTA volunteers serve as hall monitors during the TAKS tests, and every Friday, PTA volunteers pop popcorn to reward Larson students who participate in the Tutoring Program. Parent volunteers serve as Room Reps and Grade Level Reps, planning class parties all year long. We also need volunteers for our big event - The 2011 Fall Carnival. To apply to be a Room Rep or Grade Level Rep, please click on the form below and return the completed form to your child's teacher.

The Larson PTA will conduct Volunteer Orientation in September with separate morning and evening sessions. Check the calendar and this page later for date and time announcements. If you are unable to attend either session and would like to learn more about orientation, contact the Larson Volunteer Coordinator by email at the bottom of this page.

In order to volunteer at Larson, you must complete an AISD Volunteer Application and Background check. Volunteering in the Arlington ISD is easy. For the 2011-2012 school year, a new online volunteer application has been created by AISD. All volunteers must submit an online application. Previously used and submitted paper applications will not be utilized. Go to the following link and follow the directions:

At the end of your application submittal, you will receive a Volunteer ID Number in the upper left hand corner of the window. Copy that down for future reference.

Along with your online volunteer application, you must submit, by separate method (email, mail, or drop off), a copy of a government photo ID such as a driver's license or passport. A recommended approach is to scan and email a jpg of the photo ID to CRC@aisd.net .

For each grade level and for each home room, Larson PTA Volunteers assist teachers in parties, activities, and general support.

For the many school wide programs, projects, and activities, Larson PTA Volunteers take specific assignments to ensure all tasks are covered and that things run smoothly and timely.
