Texas and National PTA
and Legislative Actions
Your Larson PTA Membership also makes you a member of the Texas PTA, one of the largest and strongest lobbying groups in the state. You are also a member of the National PTA, one of the largest and strongest lobbying groups in the United States. Both entities advocate on behalf of our children. As noted in the Texas PTA logo, "every child, one voice."
Please make sure you register to vote in all national, state, and local elections. Be sure to call or write your state and federal senators and representatives, as well as your school board, in support of your Texas PTA's positions and resolutions regarding the Legislative Actions.
The Texas PTA Legislative Action site (link below) provides links to the varied legislative matters regarding our schools in Texas. If you need general information on voter registration or on the identity of those representing you in the state and federal legislature, there will be links to that information also.

The Texas PTA Legislative Action Committee will be identifying issues for focused and consistent advocacy efforts during the 2011-12 school year and corresponding Texas legislative session. Please check the above link for identification of Legislative Actions during this school year.
