70th Big Birthday Bash (BBB)
It all begain at one of the early 2011 monthly get togethers at The Rainbow Grill on the Carrollton Square. The group realized everyone had hit the "Big 70" or soon would. So, the group hit on the Big Birthday Bash to celebrate the 70th birthday of all the CHS 1959 Classmates. John Brim volunteered his farm's party barn and Nancy spearheaded the plans. The BBB invitations went out (see below) and the birthday party/reunion took place on September 24, 2011. Earnestine sent an email to classmates that pretty well sums up the event (see below).

We had a great time at our 70th Birthday Bash - lots of good old fashioned fellowship and lots of good food. I think we had around 50 classmates and spouses attending. Some had to look and think really hard to recognize some newcomers to the party.
Our thanks go out to Nancy for putting it all together and making the Birthday cake and to John Brim for allowing us to meet in his Party Barn and also preparing the brisket. John has been kind enough to open his Party Barn for the 50th Reunion, a fish fry and our Birthday party.
Several of us were wanting recipes for the dip, the cake, Nancy's Cherry Cobbler (she shared it with me so I could bring it to the party) and other dishes that we liked so well. I thought it would be nice if we could put a cook book together to share with each other. If you would e-mail me several or a few of your favorite recipes, I would be happy to consolidate them into a book. I could then e-mail them back out to each of you.
I already have several recipes from Nancy for dips - umm so good!
